CAHALL, Michael C. (University of Illinois), Assistant Professor of History. Dr. Cahall's academic training has been in American Intellectual and Cultural History, concentrating on the late nineteenth century. His research interests include societal value structures and social aspects of the fine and performing arts. Professor Cahall offers several interesting and well received upper- level classes including "Individualism in American History" and "Nature in American History." Dr. Cahall is very interested in pedagogy, especially the new teaching possibilities opened up by the internet. He serves as the Director of the Honors College and as the College's liaison with the Admissions Office.
