LI, Jing (Rice University), Assistant Professor of History. Educated first at Jilin University in China, Professor Li received his doctoral degree from Rice University. Before coming to the United States, Dr. Li worked as a Research Fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing. Professor Li's first book, Their America: The Making of Chinese Images and Interpretations of the United States in the Twentieth Century, was accepted for publication by the SUNY Press. Dr. Li's current research interests include the history of Sino-American relations and Chinese communist movement, with a focus on the interaction between culture and politics. He came to Duquesne University in 2002.
