PEARSON, Ralph L. (Johns Hopkins University), Professor and Provost of History and University Provost/Academic Vice President. An expert in African American and urban history, Dr. Pearson arrived at Duquesne in August, 2001. While he has been an academic administrator for many years, he has always found time to teach undergraduates wherever he has served. He will continue this practice at Duquesne and will teach both survey courses and upper level electives in his areas of interest.
